Clean AEO pledge
How we earn AI citations, and how we don't.
When ChatGPT, Copilot, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews name a business, people trust that answer. We think that trust should be earned. This is our citation integrity pledge.
What we do
- Real expertise. We write from what your business actually knows and does, with your team's input, not generic filler.
- Accurate facts. Names, prices, locations, services and claims are checked against your own records before anything ships.
- Clear sources. Where we state a number or a fact, we say where it came from.
- Answer-first content. Pages that answer the real questions your buyers ask, plainly, so AI engines and people can both use them.
- Honest measurement. We report what AI engines actually say about you, including when it's wrong or when you're not mentioned.
What we won't do
- No fake reviews or testimonials.
- No made-up statistics, studies or awards.
- No hidden prompt tricks or text aimed at manipulating AI models.
- No spam sites, fake listicles or networks built to fool AI engines.
- No promises of guaranteed placement. Nobody controls what AI engines say.
Spotting gamed citations
Part of our work is checking whether the sources AI cites about your category can be trusted. Warning signs we look for:
- Listicles that rank the publisher's own product first with no method.
- Reviews or stats with no traceable source.
- New sites that mirror each other's wording.
- Claims about you that you never made. If we find inaccurate or gamed citations about your brand, we tell you, and we show you the source.
Our own numbers
We publish first-party results only. GPTPrompts.ai, a site we operate, recorded 2.3M Bing Copilot citation appearances over 3 months (source: Bing Webmaster Tools, AI Performance, Microsoft Copilot & partners; sampled appearances, not ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI, and not traffic). We won't fabricate client case studies.
